Oceanic Cannery

Oceanic Cannery was built on the south side of Smith Island at the mouth of the Skeena. It was built in 1903 by the company that had owned Aberdeen Cannery, which had burned down the previous year. In 1935, after its last canning season, it also was destroyed by fire.
